Conceptual Illustration

Conceptual illustrations for site-specific installations, including watercolor and colored pencil renderings of arched sculptural forms, pencil sketches of butterfly wing structures, and pen-and-ink diagrams of geodesic dome and structural framework concepts.

Creative Scope / Contributions

Conceptual illustration for site-specific installation and architectural concepts. Each project starts with studying the site, the structural problem, or the idea that needs to be conveyed, then building visual metaphors that make an abstract concept or spatial idea immediately readable. Work includes early-stage installation concepts for a creative hub facility in Italy, pencil sketches of replacement concepts for the iconic Spokane waterfront butterfly sculptures destroyed in a windstorm, renderings developed ahead of the Act of Stillness installation at TEDActive, and concept work for The Walt Disney Company. Disney work: credit line only, available upon request.
